The Baltimore Ravens addressed one of their biggest question marks this offseason in a big way by selecting LSU linebacker Patrick Queen with the No. 28 pick overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
There was concern that Queen, one of the team’s top prospects and a popular mock draft choice, wouldn’t be available that late in the first round. However, the Football Gods seemed to have smiled on Baltimore once again.
While some scouting reports showed concerns over Queen’s smaller size and lack of starting experience, it only take a few minutes of watching his film to get excited about what he brings to the Ravens. Queen’s high football-IQ and playmaking ability give Baltimore a strong vision of the future with a young, commanding presence at interior linebacker, something that had been missing since C.J. Mosley departed after the 2018 season.
Take a look at Queen’s best highlights from his time at LSU.
Queen finished his 2019 season at LSU with 85 tackles, 12 for a loss, 3 sacks, and an interception. His speed, vision, and natural instincts for the position make him a perfect addition to the Ravens’ defense immediately while signaling an even brighter future for the team.
