When quarterback Mike Glennon signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars back in May, many were wondering if there was a chance the former Chicago Bears quarterback would get to face his old team in a Week 16 match-up in 2020.
Well, get ready everyone, because Glennon has been named the starting quarterback for the Jaguars for Sunday’s game against the Bears.

Glennon and Gardner Minshew were splitting first-team reps during practice this week. Jaguars coach Doug Marrone has ultimately made the decision to go back to the right-year veteran in hopes of snapping a 13-game losing streak. Although you could argue going back to Glennon helps Jacksonville’s chances of losing a 14th straight contest en route to the No. 1 overall pick in quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Sunday’s game will mark Glennon’s fourth start of the season, where he’ll face off against one of his former teams in the Bears. Back in 2017, Chicago signed Glennon to a three-year deal worth $44 million with $18.5 million guaranteed, a deal that will go down as one of Ryan Pace’s worst moves as general manager.
Glennon started a grand total of four games — including three losses — before being benched in favor of then-rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in Week 5.
Now, the football world will get the Trubisky vs. Glennon revenge game that no one asked for.
