Georgia-based TE Emaree Winston narrows top schools to six, includes USC

USC can use more tight ends, given the changes and delays currently affecting the tight end room.

USC football is one of the top six schools for 2025 four-star tight end Emaree Winston out of Calhoun, Georgia.

The Trojans were joined by UCF, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Tennessee and North Carolina.

According to 247Sports, Winston is rated the No. 103 overall prospect and the No. 4 tight end in the 247Sports rankings. He is the No. 207 overall prospect and the No. 7 tight end in the 247Sports composite.

The 6-foot-1, 235-pound talent held 39 offers before cutting down his list.

Ohio State is the favorite to land the four-star tight end. The proof of the Buckeyes’ inside track in Winston’s recruitment is that they hold the only two 247Sports crystal ball picks for him at the moment.

USC is trying to create depth at the tight end position because Duce Robinson, who was originally recruited as a tight end by the Trojans and Lincoln Riley, has been converted to a wide receiver. Walker Lyons, another tight end recruit, is serving a Mormon mission and will not play at all this year. The Trojans can still benefit from successfully recruiting another tight end.
