No. 8 Georgia (12-3, 7-0 SEC) defeated No. 22 Tennessee (11-6, 3-4 SEC), 4-1, on Sunday at Barksdale Stadium.
“We have to change something,” Tennessee head coach Alison Ojeda said. “There are only so many times you can knock on a door before a team has to decide that they are willing to step through it. These guys aren’t willing to step through it at the moment. I know we won the doubles point, but even in doubles we just aren’t there. We step on the gas and do all the right things and then them all of a sudden we let up. That can sum up nine spots, the six singles and the three doubles. We cannot afford to let up on the gas with anyone especially these teams that we are playing against.”
