Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Justyn Rhett announced his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on social media Saturday night.
He is the second Georgia transfer to commit to a Big Ten school as their destination for next season. He is the third Georgia player to find their home for the 2025 season.
Rhett joins former Georgia Bulldogs Arik Gilbert, Jacob Hood and MJ Sherman in transferring to Nebraska in recent seasons.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defender spent two seasons with the Bulldogs. After redshirting and not seeing any action in 2023, Rhett appeared in two games during the 2024 season, making one tackle each against Clemson and Tennessee Tech.
Rhett has three years of eligibility left and was a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He initially committed to Notre Dame but later flipped to Georgia, joining Kirby Smart’s program and playing under defensive backs coach Fran Brown, who is now the head coach at Syracuse.
