Georgia star safety out for Ball State game with ankle injury

Star UGA football safety Javon Bullard ruled out for the Ball State game with an ankle injury

Star Georgia Bulldogs safety Javon Bullard has been ruled out for the Ball State game with an ankle injury. Bullard suffered the injury in the first quarter.

Bullard is a critical piece of the Georgia defense. He was named the defensive MVP of national championship and the College Football Playoff semifinal against Ohio State. Bullard is playing safety, which is his usual position, after playing the STAR position at a high level in 2022.

The rising star defensive back finished his sophomore season with two interceptions, 46 tackles, and 3.5 sacks.

The junior safety has recorded four total tackles in 2023. Bullard was healthy enough to jog to the locker room, so it is not expected to be a severe ankle injury. We while provide further updates on Bullard soon.

Bullard was seen wearing a walking boot in the second half.
