Georgia Bulldogs punter Brett Thorson announced his return for next season via his social media.
Thorson has been one of the nation’s best punters for the past three seasons that he has been in Athens. He has recorded a punt of 55 yards and over in all three seasons at UGA.
Thorson recorded 42 punts this season, averaging 47.5 yards per punt. He also made a tackle during Georgia’s victory over Tennessee. Thorson suffered a knee injury in the SEC championship and missed the Sugar Bowl. The exact extent of Thorson’s knee injury remains unclear, though it required surgery.
