Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets and the 2016 third-round pick will sign the 25 year old free agent mainly due to Jenkin’s relationship and improvement with defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.
The 6-3, 259-pound Jenkins had 15 sacks and 28 quarterback hits in the past two seasons. He has earned approximately $4.3 million during the past four seasons. He will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2020 season.
