It had been since 1980 since the Georgia Bulldogs had won the national championship. On Monday, January 10, the drought ended and the 41-year curse was lifted. The Dawgs finally did it. Emotions ran high for Georgia fans across the country seeing Kelee Ringo seal the game with a pick-six in the final minute, Tears flowed, property was damaged and the DawgNation got to live out their dream of seeing the Dawgs win it all.
In the aftermath of it all, I could not stop thinking of how much my grandparents would have loved to see Georgia win it all one more time. And I know I am not alone in thinking of lost family and friends who would have partied right alongside us had they been here to enjoy it.
So I asked you to share your stories with us on Twitter and tell us who you would have loved to share this moment with. You all are amazing and these stories are something else. I recommend a tissue before scrolling any further.
