Georgia DL signee Bear Alexander to miss spring football

2022 signee Bear Alexander will miss time…

2022 Georgia signee Bear Alexander, a four-star defensive lineman out of out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., will undergo shoulder surgery for a torn labrum and will miss spring practice, according to multiple reports.

Alexander, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 325 pounds, is ranked as the nation’s No. 42 overall player and the No. 6 defensive lineman in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Georgia Butkus Award winner Nakobe Dean had a similar injury last year and went on to have a fantastic season.

If Alexander can work his way back in time for fall camp, which is expected, he’ll have an opportunity to contribute immediately with the Bulldogs losing All-American Jordan Davis and All-SEC first team Devonte Wyatt along the defensive front.
