Georgia crushes TCU 65-7 for 2nd straight national title

The Georgia Bulldogs are national champions for the second year in a row, thanks to a dominant win over TCU

The Georgia Bulldogs ran it up Monday night against the TCU Horned Frogs, rolling to a 65-7 victory and a second consecutive national championship.

Stetson Bennett was subbed out one play into the fourth quarter, at which point he had already racked up 343 yards of total offense and six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing).

Fellow Heisman Trophy finalist Max Duggan had a rough night against the nation’s most dominant defense, tossing a pair of interceptions as the Bulldogs pass rush was relentless all night long.

Tight end Brock Bowers led the Bulldogs with seven receptions for 152 yards and a touchdown, while ride receiver Ladd McConkey caught five passes for 88 yards and a pair of scores from Bennett.

The massive win finishes a perfect season for the Bulldogs, who become the first back-to-back national champs since Nick Saban’s Alabama team nearly a decade ago.
