Former five-star cornerback recruit, Georgia Bulldogs freshman commits to transfer to Penn State

Georgia Bulldogs cornerback A.J. Harris, a former five-star recruit, has committed to the Penn State Nittany Lions. Harris was one of the top available players in the NCAA transfer portal.

Harris, a true freshman, is ranked as the No. 8 player in the transfer portal and No. 2 cornerback according to 247Sports. Only one Georgia Bulldog is ranked higher than Harris in the transfer portal.

Penn State is losing top cornerback Kalen King to the 2024 NFL draft, so the Nittany Lions are looking to replace him. Georgia cornerback A.J. Harris flashed game-changing potential as a true freshman. Harris has the talent to compete for a starting role right away at Penn State.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back started the season strongly for the Bulldogs, but did not play as much down the stretch. Harris played in seven games as a true freshman and recorded eight total tackles.
