George Quarles details preparing for a spring season.

George Quarles served as Maryville High School’s head coach from 1999-2016.

Quarles led the Rebels to 11 state championships, compiling a 250-16 record and won 74 consecutive games during one stretch.

He left Maryville to join Furman’s staff in 2017 and is now serving as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Furman will kick off its 2021 spring schedule Feb. 20 against Western Carolina. The coronavirus pandemic caused the Paladins and many FCS schools to not play during the fall.

Ahead of Furman’s first game, Quarles joined the show “Tennessee Two-A-Days” to discuss playing a spring season.

The show can be listened to here or below.
