It’s hard to find a relationship with as much mutual love and respect as there is in the relationship formed between the Iowa Hawkeyes, their fans, and George Kittle.
One of Iowa’s favorite sons, often adored by the fanbase whenever he makes an appearance, Kittle is the epitome of a stand-up guy and an even better human than the All-Pro football talent that he is.
Recently, Kittle made a return to Iowa City to tend to some business that is very near and dear to his heart. The tight end made a trip back in late May to visit the UI Stead Children’s Family Hospital and visit some of the kids there to brighten their days.
”Hi, my name’s George.” Big thanks to former Hawkeye and current @49ers tight end George Kittle for spreading some joy with our patients and families yesterday!@gkittle46 | @hawkeyefootball pic.twitter.com/agEzSd3toN

On top of this awesome trip to visit these children, Kittle held a camp inside Kinnick Stadium that saw him be part of raising $25,000 for the UI Dance Marathon, a student-led organization that supports pediatric cancer patients.
George Kittle is everything that the Iowa Hawkeyes stand for. He committed to Iowa as a 200-pound wide receiver that went through Iowa’s development in the weight room and has continued to grow into a 247-pound, four-time NFL Pro Bowler. He is also a two-time second-team All-Pro and a first-team All-Pro in 2019.
Regardless of his NFL profile and him being a household name, George Kittle has stayed grounded and continues to give back to the school, community, and fans that bought into him.
