Genshin Impact 2.8 Leaks – what to expect

Leaks for Genshin Impact 2.8 suggest that the eagerly awaited rerun of fan-favorite Kazuha will start off the version’s character banners. The Anemo samurai is one of the most useful units in the game and should be available in the first half of 2.8, along with Klee and a brand-new character. This is going to be Shikanoin Heizou, a 4-Star Anemo unit using a Catalyst as a weapon. For the second half, a rerun of fiery archer Yoimiya seems to be in the works.

In addition, new outfits for two beloved Mondstadt characters, Diluc and Fischl, have been leaked to the public, suggesting that the two will play a role in the next chapter of the story. While 2.8 doesn’t yet take the Traveler to the highly anticipated region of Sumeru, it slowly but surely steers them in that direction with more characters from there being introduced to us. Fischl herself may be available for free as an event reward in 2.8, similar to Xingqiu in 2.6.

The update’s main theme is without a doubt going to be summer, and what would fit better to that end than version 1.6’s Golden Apple Archipelago? Most likely, this island region will return to the game for a limited time in the upcoming patch and will serve as the main location for several new events, with parts of the landscape having been reworked to give you something new to explore.

Exact details will be revealed in the live stream for sure, but the leaks already offer plenty of reasons to get excited about Genshin Impact’s next chapter. As usual, you can find the show on the game’s official Twitch channel.
