Geno Smith of Seahawks earns NFL Comeback Player of Year honors

Geno Smith of the Seahawks is the NFL Comeback Player of the Year

The competition was tough for NFL Comeback Player of the Year. In the end Thursday, the award went to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith.

Smith topped Christian McCaffrey of the 49ers and Saquon Barkley of the Giants.

Smith replaced the traded Russell Wilson in Seattle and exceeded all expectations.

Smith led the league completing 69.8% of his passes for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also rushed for 366 yards in leading the Seahawks to a 9-8 record and second-place finish in the NFC West.
