Gaze upon the artistry of this Son Heung-min goal, please

You will not be disappointed.

It’s possible that you’ve never heard of Son Heung-min, the 28-year-old forward who is near the top of the Premier League’s goal-scoring chart.

That might have something to do with the fact that he hasn’t been lured away by one of the traditional big-money clubs. Or maybe it’s just that he’s emerging now because he’s been able to focus more this season on creating offense (as detailed in this wonderful story from The Athletic about his recent evolution) for Tottenham Hotspur.

But Heung-min recently signed with Creative Artists Agency — which you might know simply as CAA, the influential talent agency — meaning he’s poised to burst further into popular culture.

That’s because he can do things like this on the pitch.

Here is generally the place in an article like this one where I’d try to describe or analyze what just happened but there are times when all that is better left unsaid, and this is one of them. Just watch it a few times. It’s all there.

That was his 10th goal of the EPL season — the same number of goals today’s opponent, Arsenal, has scored, period.

The assist came from Harry Kane, and those two have been absolutely brilliant together in recent years:

Son actually also on a nice Kane goal at the end of the first half, and Tottenham leads 2-0.
