It is Election Day here in the United States of America and while the latest word from the voting booth dominates the news today, we have a few stories from around the sports world to keep you otherwise occupied.

On that opening note, from gambling to hunting and fishing to a controversial WNBA figure to a former NFL player and a former major college coach, Tuesday’s elections feature a variety of sports-related decisions. USA TODAY Sports takes a look at all of the sports-related issues on the ballot.

Meanwhile, Kyle Trask is still mentioned in USA TODAY Sports’ Heisman Trophy Watch, but like last week, only received one third-place vote. Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Mac Jones stole the top spot from Clemson’s quarterback Trevor Lawrence this past week.

In Gators sports news, all athletic teams are off until Thursday, when the women’s swimming and diving team hosts the Miami Hurricanes in the O’Connell Center Natatorium for their second meet of the season.
