Another Monday has gone by, leaving college and professional football in the rearview as another week of action comes to a close. Typically, Tuesday is when the gears begin to shift and the fans start looking forward to the next round of games. Florida Gators fans are beginning to build their anticipation for this week’s matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks in The Swamp.
The football team is not the only ticket in town, however. Currently, the men’s golf team completed the second round of play at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, finishing in ninth place — the same spot they finished the first round at. The tournament wraps up today as does the golf team’s season.
Tomorrow, the volleyball team travels to South Carolina for a back-to-back match with the Gamecocks. Florida is currently ranked fourth in the nation and carries a 4-0 (4-0 SEC) record while the Gamecocks are ranked No. 15 with a 4-2 (4-2 SEC) coming in.

- ESPN believes the Gators have a good chance of making College Football Playoff: Florida was not even mentioned in last week’s update but muscled its way back on the scene big-time in Jacksonville on Saturday.
- Gators among USA TODAY Sports’ winners this weekend: It is no secret at this point that the Florida Gators were big winners on Saturday thanks to a punishing victory over the Georgia Bulldogs.
