A report surfaced on Friday night that Florida Gators head coach Dan Mullen has an interview scheduled with the New York Jets in the coming days, according to WCJB reporter Claudia Bellofatto, who cited an unnamed source. She announced the news first on her personal Twitter account.

According to a source, Gators head coach Dan Mullen has an interview with the NY Jets in the next few days.

Mullen is coming off a season of mixed results, having reached his third New Years Six game in as many years at the helm of the football program while also stumbling across the finish line with three-straight losses.

The Jets are in dire need of some direction after an abysmal season in which they won only two out of 16 games — including a 0-13 start to the season. The team also includes a slew of former Gators, including Lamical Perine and Jabari Zuniga, who both played for Florida’s coach last season in Gainesville.

We will continue to keep you up to date here at Gators Wire as events warrant.
