Garrett Temple doubtful vs. Spurs

The Brooklyn Nets have three players on assignment with the Long Island Nets, two others out and one more who could be sidelined Friday.

The Brooklyn Nets will likely be without Garrett Temple again on Friday, given his recent status update.

The wing missed the Nets’ loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain. He has been ruled doubtful for Friday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs for the same reason.

Kevin Durant (right Achilles rehab) and Kyrie Irving (right shoulder surgery) are the only other players included on the Nets’ status report due to injury. Both at out.

Nic Claxton, Dzanan Musa and two-way player Jeremiah Martin are all unavailable for the Nets. They are all on assignment with Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. They host the Lakeland Magic, the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate, on Friday at 7 p.m. The game will be available to watch on NBAGLeague.com.

In Long Island’s last game, which was a 124-108 win over the Delaware Blue Coats, the Philadelphia 76ers’ G League affiliate, Claxton scored 34 points on 10-for-16 shooting (3-for-6 from deep). Dzanan Musa scored 20 on 5-for-14 shooting (2-for-5 from three) in the win.
