Former Vol Garrett Crochet appeared in a rehab assignment with Charlotte on Thursday at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Charlotte is a Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
Crochet pitched 1.2 innings for the Knights in a 6-0 loss to Jacksonville. He recorded four strikeouts, while allowing one run and one walk.
Crochet played at Tennessee from 2018-2020. He came to the Vols from Ocean Springs High School in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
He was selected by the White Sox in the first round of the 2020 MLB draft (No. 11 overall).
Crochet made his Major League Baseball debut for Chicago on Sept. 18, 2020.
Crochet had Tommy John surgery and missed the 2022 season.
