Penn State will wrap up its regular-season schedule with a pair of games on the road in Big Ten play, beginning Thursday night at No. 20 Illinois. The road has not been kind to Penn State this season, and the gameday point spread from Tipico suggests Thursday night will not be much different for the Nittany Lions.
Penn State is just 1-8 in true road games this season, including a pair of back-to-back blowout losses in conference play to Iowa and Indiana a few weeks ago. Penn State is also coming off a stunning blowout loss at home to lowly Nebraska on Sunday night.
Illinois is battling for the second seed in the upcoming Big Ten men’s basketball tournament with Purdue. The Illini have been a strong team at home as well.
