Game Preview: Florida wraps up non-conference schedule with Quinnnipiac

Florida basketball is closing out 2023 with its final non-conference game of the season against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday.

The final non-conference game on the Florida Gators’ schedule is an afternoon matchup with the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the O’Connell Center in Gainesville.

Florida is looking to notch its 10th win of the season and seventh-straight win over a Quadrant 3 or 4 opponent. Quinnipiac has won four of its last five games, but the most impressive of those came against Navy. The Gators might still be waiting to ascend into the upper echelon of college basketball teams in the country, but they are markedly better than the Bobcats and are expected to win by double digits.

The Orange and Blue are an offensive juggernaut, averaging 85.4 points through 12 games this year. Quinnipiac has only scored 85 points four times this year. Florida could be without Riley Kugel once again, but he is listed as probable.

Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Saturday. Let’s take a closer look at both teams before the game.
