The Atlanta Hawks may be after Oklahoma City Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari and former Boston Celtic point guard Rajon Rondo in addition to adding Celtic veteran forward Gordon Hayward, according to the New York Times’ Mark Stein.
Hayward was tied to the Hawks as a potential target on Tuesday as both he and the Celtics successfully lobbied the league for more time to decide on his decision to opt into the final season of his current contract.
It is unclear where the level of interest for Rondo stands with the Hawks, given rumored interest in the Laker by crosstown rivals the Los Angeles Clippers.
There is a growing belief among rival teams that Atlanta will be in pole position for Danilo Gallinari and Rajon Rondo when free agency begins later this week, league sources say
As @NYTSports reported on Oct. 28, Rondo is also poised to receive strong interest from the Clippers

But, the news that the Philadelphia 76ers have elected to trade for Al Horford suggests — depending on how the teams go about the deal — the Thunder expect Gallinari on another roster by the start of the season, even if not with Atlanta.
As more moves are made, the picture should soon become clearer as we stand just minute from the 2020 NBA draft.
