Notre Dame basketball is returning to the Maui Invitational this fall for the first time since winning the tournament in 2017.
The Irish are set to start the tournament against St. Mary’s and if they win, will then play the winner of Oregon vs. Chaminade for a trip to the tournament championship.
As you may recall Notre Dame’s last trip to the Maui Invitational resulted in a tournament championship as the Irish outlasted Wichita State 67-66 in the finals in a performance nearly as splendid as Mike Brey’s wardrobe that week.
To get there the Irish rolled past Chaminade 83-56, and LSU, 92-53.
