Rutgers was tough defensively and dominated on the boards in 66-57 win over Indiana. The Hoosiers continued their struggles against Rutgers on Tuesday night in a game where they were physically out-matched by the Scarlet Knights.
Mawot Mag led all Rutgers scorers with 13 points. Mag also had eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to key the win for Rutgers (9-6, 1-3 Big Ten).
Rutgers has had recent success against the Hoosiers. That may in fact be an understatement.
Last year, they rolled over then No. 10 Indiana in a 63-48 win at Jersey Mike’s Arena. In 2022, they beat Indiana 66-63 on the road via a late three-point winner from Ron Harper Jr.
They also beat Indiana twice in the 2020-21 COVID-19 season.
It was a quiet night offensively from Cliff Omoruyi, who finished with five points. But Omoruyi grabbed 10 rebounds and had five blocks.

Rutgers held a 51-32 edge on the glass and 19-8 on offensive boards.
