Michigan State basketball is heading home.
The Spartans fell just short of a massive upset of No. 1 seed Purdue on Friday afternoon in the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan State trailed for most of the game, but tied it up late. However, the Boilermakers took over in the final minute to pick up the 67-62 win over the Spartans.
Michigan State is now 19-14 overall and will wait until Sunday to see if they’ll return to the NCAA Tournament. Many expect the Spartans to be dancing following a strong showing at the Big Ten Tournament this week.
