Neville Arena seems to be the best medicine for a struggling Auburn basketball team.
The Tigers returned home in resounding fashion Wednesday night, blowing out Vanderbilt by nearly 30 points after losing back-to-back road games.
Victories are always seen as signs of optimism, but perhaps the best sign of the night was transfer guard [autotag]Denver Jones[/autotag] finally breaking out to score 19 points.
Coach [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] raved about Jones’s scoring ability in the preseason and Wednesday’s game was the first time Tiger fans got to see the talented guard become a microwave of sorts on the offensive end.
If he can channel that scoring ability for the rest of the season, Auburn has legitimate national championship aspirations.
