[autotag]Front Row Motorsports[/autotag] came off a championship-winning season with Zane Smith in 2022 and hoped to repeat that in 2023. Unfortunately for Smith and the No. 38 team, a championship wasn’t in the cards as they were eliminated in the Round of 8. The driver of the No. 38 truck finished seventh in the point standings with a 14.8 average finishing position.
Smith only had two wins compared to his four wins in 2022, as the team wasn’t as fast and consistent. Ironically, Front Row Motorsports’ last win of the 2023 Truck Series season came at Talladega Superspeedway when Brett Moffitt won in the No. 34 truck. It was a one-off race for Moffitt and a massive day for the organization.

In 2024, Layne Riggs will replace Smith in the No. 38 truck as he jumps to the NASCAR Cup Series with Spire Motorsports. Riggs is a talented young driver who hasn’t earned a full-time opportunity yet. With Riggs behind the wheel of the No. 38 truck, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Front Row Motorsports back in victory lane next year.
