Frank Ragnow recognized as one of the top young players in the NFL

Frank Ragnow is sitting at borderline elite status in the NFL, and Bleacher Report recognizes his status as one of the better young players

There aren’t too many bright sports surrounding the Detroit Lions, especially after the dark years of the Quinntricia era. With a revamped front office and coaching staff with a new philosophy of team cohesion, it might be looking on the up and up.

Most fans, experts, and analysts will be looking at this following season as a rebuild and won’t put too much stock in what happens. Don’t tell Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell that because they believe they have a few core players that can help make this transition a much easier one for everyone involved, and one of them happens to the center of attention.

Frank Ragnow is on the threshold of earning elite status amongst NFL players, but Bleacher Report recognizes him on one of the young up-in-comers ranking him 24th on their Top 25 under 25 young stars in the NFL and probably could make the argument he could be ranked higher.

Ragnow has been a catalyst on the offensive line ever since he was drafted in the first round in 2018, while earning his first (and probably more) Pro Bowl last year and ranking as PFF’s second-best center, only behind Corey Linsley.

With the transition from Matthew Stafford to Jared Goff and the flux at right guard, Ragnow will be heavily leaned to make the transition as smooth as possible,. There should be no question he can bring everyone together,, being one of the franchise’s cornerstones.

Ragnow will be due for his fifth-year option after this season,, and there should be no question the Lions will pick that up and try to extend the young, elite center to make sure he stays in Detroit for years to come.
