If you thought for a second that Frank Gore was done, you thought wrong.
Gore, now 38, seemingly looked to never be leaving a football field.
The No. 3 all-time leading rusher isn’t on the gridiron again in 2021, but now he’s turning his attention elsewhere: The boxing ring.
The former Bill will face three-time NBA All-Star Deron Williams in a fight on Dec. 18. It will take place on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury at AMALIE Arena in Tampa:

“I’m excited to be fighting on this card and can’t wait to show the world what I’ve been working on,” Gore said in a statement. “Boxing has me excited, and on Dec. 18 expect fireworks!”
The four-round heavyweight bout will be contested with a 215-pound contractual limit as they make their professional boxing debuts.
While new to pro boxing, Gore has used the sports as an offseason workout in the past. According to NFL.com, Gore “declined a return to the gridiron in hopes of scheduling a fight.”
In Williams, the 5-foot-9 Gore is taking on a bigger opponent in the 6-foot-3 basketball player.
However, Williams, 37, hasn’t played in the NBA since 2017. Gore was most recently with the New York Jets just last season.
Gore started his career with the San Francisco 49ers for a decade before playing for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Bills and Jets.
