Game day has finally arrived for the 2023 season. The expectations are through the roof for LSU as they prepare to take on the No. 8 Florida State Seminoles in Orlando.
Last season, LSU lost a heartbreaker as their comeback fell short after a missed PAT doomed them at the end of the game. The Tigers went on to win 10 games and they won the SEC West. After falling to eventual National Champion, Georgia, in the SEC Championship game, LSU rebounded with a 63-7 win over Purdue in their bowl game.
Florida State is led by its star quarterback, Jordan Travis. He led the Seminoles to a 10-win season last fall, as well. Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt made his final prediction on who will win this week.
“This one, I have put my flag in the ground and say that I believe that LSU is the better team,” Klatt said, per On3. “Remember, they were the better team a year ago. The six-game winning streak that Florida State had late last year was against a lot of bad football teams, very average football teams. And while I like Florida State, I just don’t think that they’re better than LSU.”
