Former Texas commit Aeryn Hampton will return to Austin on Friday, April 7.
Hampton announced his upcoming visit via Twitter on Monday evening. The four-star wide receiver was once verbally committed to the Longhorns, but backed off his decision on Nov. 29. However, Texas remains one of the top schools in his recruitment.
The Carthage product is rated the No. 22 wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 22 overall prospect in Texas, according to On3 Sports composite rankings.
Alabama is considered the leader in his recruitment at this time. With a successful visit on Friday along with Hampton’s official visit to Texas on June 17, the Longhorns could make up ground.
