After putting together one of the nation’s best 2023 recruiting classes, CU men’s basketball head coach Tad Boyle is now looking for his first 2024 commit.
One of the more notable prospects being linked to the Buffs is rising senior Jalen Shelley, a four-star small forward who named Colorado to his top eight schools earlier this week, per Joe Tipton of On3. Shelley is also considering Arkansas, Houston, Louisville, LSU, Marquette, Ohio State and Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-8, 175-pound Shelley played his junior season at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Texas but will wrap his prep career at Link Academy in Missouri.
Shelley is ranked as the No. 46 overall 2024 prospect and the No. 14 SF (247Sports Composite).
Tipton reported that Shelley has taken unofficial visits to Louisville, Houston and Arkansas and is planning future trips to LSU, Arkansas (again), Texas A&M, Ohio State and Marquette.
