Four-star RB Anthony Rogers puts Auburn in top 5, sets commitment date

Rogers is from Alabama but transferred to IMG Academy after his sophomore season.

Four-star prospect [autotag]Anthony Rogers[/autotag] is one of the best running backs in the 2025 recruiting class and thankfully for the Auburn Tigers, he is from nearby Pike Road.

Rogers announced his top five schools Sunday on Twitter and included the Tigers. They will be battling Florida, Oregon, Alabama and Georgia for him. He also revealed that he will be announcing his commitment on June 2.

While the 5-foot-8, 185-pounder spent his first two seasons at Pike Road he has transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Rogers is the No. 88 overall player and No. 8 running back in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 19 player from Florida in the rankings, if he had stayed in Alabama he would be the No. 10 ranked player.

He has visited Auburn multiple times, most recently back on Jan. 28 which allowed him to meet [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and the rest of the new staff.

Rogers has been a varsity contributor since his freshman season when he rushed for 1,139 yards and 18 touchdowns in 14 games. He added 401 yards and six more touchdowns as a receiver as well as four touchdowns on kickoff returns.

He was even better as a sophomore, rushing for 1,626 yards and 22 touchdowns on 8.7 yards per carry. He caught eight passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
