Four-star OT Tavaris Dice names Auburn his favorite, sets commitment timeline

Auburn is the program to beat for the No. 22 overall OT from the 2025 class.

Auburn has become the favorite to land four-star OT [autotag]Tavaris Dice[/autotag] by multiple recruiting outlets, and Dice’s feelings toward Auburn are mutual.

In a recent interview with Phillip Dukes of On3, the offensive tackle from Fairburn, Georgia said that Auburn is his top school after taking several visits to the Plains since last September. However, Auburn has not locked Dice in yet, as several programs are beginning to sway his mindset away from the Plains.

“Now I feel like I’ve got some contenders that are trying to compete for that spot, for that first place spot,” Dice said. “You know, Auburn, they’re number one for me right now, but there are a lot of schools trying to take that spot from them right now. I’m getting a lot of big calls from different places.”

Florida, Florida State, Missouri, and Miami (FL.) are the other schools working to earn his signature, and he has set visits for Florida State and Miami for later this month. After that, he plans to announce his commitment.

“I think I’m going to move it up to April,” Dice said of his commitment timeline. “I am getting a lot of big calls and everybody is trying to take that spot. Everybody is competing now. So, I feel like after that camp, it really helped me a lot. Now, people are really seeing.”

Dice is looking for a program that he can immediately contribute to. He tells Dukes that he hopes to earn a Freshman All-America honor as well as other accolades during his first season on campus. Dice is a 6-6, 275-pound offensive tackle from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. He is the No. 22 offensive tackle from the 2025 cycle and is the No. 33 recruit from Georgia.
