Most of Florida’s 2023 recruiting class arrived in January, and there’s hope that the upcoming class will follow suit. The latest commit to confirm an early enrollment is West Point (Mississippi) running back [autotag]Kahnen Daniels[/autotag], according to Swamp247’s Donovan Keiser.
Daniels was in town for the Gators’ win over the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, and he remains firm in his commitment to the Orange and Blue.
“I still love it here,” Daniels said. “I’m looking forward to the next two months of my high school season, and then I’m looking forward to coming to the University of Florida.”
Seeing 90,000 strong cheer on the Gators in the Swamp created the perfect atmosphere for a recruit’s first gameday, and the running backs did their part to impress, too.
Barring a transfer addition to the position room and assuming Montrell Johnson Jr. goes to the NFL, Daniels will fight for third-string reps behind Trevor Etienne and Treyaun Webb. He’ll return to Gainesville for the Florida State Game at the end of the season.
Daniels earned four stars everywhere but 247Sports. The On3 industry ranking, which uses a weighted average of all four major recruiting services, puts him at No. 315 overall and No. 25 among running backs in the class of 2024. He’s also the 10th-best player out of Mississippi.
