Texas is still in the running for one of the top pass rushers in the country.
Four-star EDGE Zina Umeozulu revealed the top nine schools left in his recruitment on Wednesday. Texas made the cut alongside Oklahoma, Texas A&M, SMU, Miami, Georgia, LSU and Oregon.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound playmaker is rated the No. 11 edge in the nation for the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 25 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports composite.
Umeozulu has connections to the Texas football program as his older brother, Neto, to is currently an offensive lineman for the Longhorns. Zina has an official visit scheduled to the Forty Acres on June 23.
In 2022, Umeozulu recorded 43 tackles, five tackles for loss and three sacks for Allen High School.
