While the Longhorns were in the middle of their annual Orange-White spring game on Saturday, they received positive news in the recruiting department.
Shortly after four-star wide receiver Xavier Worthy announced his commitment to Texas, four-star cornerback Terrance Brooks released his top five schools. Texas A&M, Oregon, Texas, Florida and Alabama are the final programs in the running to land Brooks.
The Plano, Texas, native is rated the No. 10 cornerback in the 2022 cycle and a top-20 player from the state according to 247Sports. Brooks also runs track for John Paul II High School, where he ran a 11.23 100-meter and a 23.27 200-meter as a junior.

His father, Chet Brooks, is a former Texas A&M safety who played three years with the San Francisco 49’ers, therefore, the Aggies are a heavy player to watch throughout his recruitment.
At the moment, Texas only has one cornerback committed for the 2022 cycle in four-star prospect Jaylon Guilbeau.
