For a few hours there on Sunday, we had some hope that 2023 four-star recruit RJ Jones would give his pledge to the Colorado men’s basketball team.
His final six included the Buffs, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Boise State, Texas A&M and Notre Dame. Tad Boyle had offered Jones less than one month ago on July 12, but the 6-foot-3, 170-pound Texas shooting guard announced on Instagram Live Sunday that he’s going the way of the Wildcats.
Jones would’ve been a great start to Colorado’s 2023 class, even with a solid group of guards already with the black and gold. As of Monday, the Buffs have offers out to three uncommitted prospects: four-star SF Cody Williams, four-star PF Zayden High and in-state three-star PF Baye Ndongo, per 247Sports.
