Four takeaways from LSU’s 45-41 loss to Missouri

The LSU defense struggled to contain Missouri’s offense, as they allowed nearly 600 yards to the Tigers in the 45-41 loss on Saturday.

Defensive issues

Missouri quarterback Connor Bazelak passed for 406 yards and four touchdowns on 29-of-34 attempts.

The Tigers’ defense had issues all game trying to adjust and make the right pre-snap reads. In the third quarter, LSU secondary players Eli Ricks and Todd Harris busted on a coverage and gave up a 41-yard touchdown pass that allowed Missouri to tie the game.

Missed tackles were also an issue as the LSU defenders struggled to bring down the Missouri ball handlers.
