Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy faced a bit of criticism toward the end of his sophomore season.
Worthy had a fair share of drops, a lack of visible chemistry with quarterback Quinn Ewers and an overall dip in production from his freshman All-American campaign.
Despite what many considered a down year for Worthy in 2022, he is still one of the more productive active receivers in the nation. The speedy wideout has hauled in 21 touchdown passes in his two seasons as a Longhorn, good for No. 2 in the country and on pace with some of the best pass catchers in Texas football history.
Worthy’s ceiling is as high as any wide receiver in college football. If he and the Texas offense can put all the pieces together, we could be looking at a historic season this fall.
