Four potential commitments that Texas could land soon

Keep an eye on these four players from the 2022 recruiting class that could potentially commit to Texas soon.

Texas is continuing to build momentum on the 2022 recruiting trail.

Four highly-touted prospects out of the 2022 class are expected to announce their commitments in the near future. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian’s first full class will be critical to his success on the Forty Acres. If he’s able to land players of this caliber, it would certainly jumpstart the program immediately.

This particular group is headlined by consensus five-star quarterback Maalik Murphy out of Gardena, California. Two of Sarkisian’s top priorities on the defensive side of the ball are also included. The final potential commit appears to be an underrated playmaker in three-star inside linebacker Trevell Johnson.

As of now, the Longhorns 2022 class is composed of three players — four-star running back Jaydon Blue, four-star wide receiver Armani Winfield, and four-star cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau.

Take a look at the top four players that could potentially announce a commitment to Texas in the coming weeks.
