Four Oklahoma players to be involved in NFL’s virtual NFL Draft

It’s NFL Draft day fall of us are in need of some sort of normalcy. Four Oklahoma players will participate in the virtual NFL Draft.

It’s NFL Draft day for all the draft eligible players and all of us in need of some sort of normalcy.

Oklahoma will be well represented in the first-round on Thursday night with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and linebacker Kenneth Murray expected to hear their names called. Jalen Hurts and Neville Gallimore are expected to hear their names called on day two in the second or third round.

All four of which will be highlighted because they are four of the 58 NFL Draft participants who will be involved in the virtual NFL Draft.

NFL franchises are conducting the draft virtually with war rooms and personnel being spread out and at their homes. All prospects were sent packages from the NFL for their own ability to stream themselves from where they are watching the draft.

Oklahoma has had the last two No. 1 picks, but the Sooners will not keep that streak alive. They will end a decade long drought, though, as Oklahoma hasn’t had a first round draft pick on the defensive side of the ball since Gerald McCoy in 2010.

The 2020 NFL Draft is slated to begin at 7 p.m. CT on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
