Four Big Ten teams make the top four for four-star Kenny Woseley II

Rutgers football landed in all-Big Ten final four for Kenny Woseley II.

Pennsylvania defensive back Kenny Woseley II released his top four on Friday afternoon. All four programs are from the Big Ten.

A four-star defensive back from Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia, PA), Woseley is one of the top recruits in the region. The cutting down of his list on Friday to a final four sees Nebraska, Michigan, Penn State and Rutgers make the list.

A 5-foot-11, 165-pound defensive back, Rivals ranks Woseley as a four-star and the No. 6 recruit in Pennsylvania. He is the No. 178 player in the nation and the No. 21 defensive back in the rankings.

He is an instinctual player who breaks well to the ball. Woseley showcases good footwork and hips and solid Power Five speed:

He also is helped by playing for a program that is one of is one of the top programs in Pennsylvania. Imhotep finished last season at 10-3.

On Friday night, Woseley broke down why Rutgers and head coach [autotag]Greg Schiano[/autotag] made the cut:

“Rutgers is a family-oriented program and preaches heavily about being a family,” Woseley told Rutgers Wire.

“And I believe that coach Schiano and the staff can make a change in the program (over) the next few years.”

In mid-January, Woseley visited Rutgers for a recruiting weekend with some of the top talents in the region. The group of recruits attended the Rutgers men’s basketball team’s overtime win against Ohio State.

Following that visit, Woseley said that Rutgers would make his top five. Turns out, they were part of an all-Big Ten top four.

“I feel good about the program, I mean I always felt good about the program since my first visit,” Woseley told Rutgers Wire in January.

“(Sunday) was the first time I’ve seen the campus outside of the football facility and it really showed me that they truly care more about academics than anything.”

Rutgers currently has three players committed in the 2024 recruiting class:

  • Kenny Jones, a three-star offensive lineman from New Jersey
  • A.J. Surace, a three-star quarterback from New Jersey
  • Gabriel Winowich, a four-star running back from Michigan
