Although many may be talking about former Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor’s standout week two performance of over 100 rushing yards, we should not ignore that Quintez Cephus made his first start as a Detroit Lion after a week one injury to Kenny Golladay.
Cephus did not see many targets because of the talented Green Bay Packer defense that helped them win easily 42-21, but he still finished the day with three catches for 54 receiving yards and a long reception of 36 yards. Cephus ranked third in receiving yards for the Lions behind T.J. Hockenson and D’Andre Swift.
Quintez Cephus continues to work his way up the Lions depth chart after starting the season as a bubble player to make the team. His outstanding play has moved him all the way to the fourth receiver in the Detroit Lions rotation, and after the injury to Golladay, into the starting lineup. We will definitely be seeing more of Cephus in weeks to come as his performance continues to warrant more playing time and targets.
BIG thirty-six yard catch and run for Quintez Cephus.
