Former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward committed to the Miami Hurricanes, he announced in a Tweet Saturday.
He announced on Dec. 1 that he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal and also evaluating entering the 2024 NFL Draft. On Jan. 1, he posted a video on Twitter declaring for the NFL Draft.
Nearly two weeks later, Ward announced his commitment to join head coach Mario Cristobal and Miami.
Ward has played four seasons of college football, having spent his past two seasons with the Cougars. He started his collegiate career at the FCS level with Incarnate Ward.
He’s totaled 13,874 passing yards and 119 passing touchdowns in his collegiate career.

The veteran quarterback transferred to Washington State after he threw for 47 touchdowns and 4,648 yards for Incarnate Ward in 2021.
Ward threw for 3,732 yards, 25 touchdown passes, and seven interceptions on a 67% completion percentage. He threw for more than 3,000 yards and 20 touchdowns in his two seasons in Pullman, Washington.
He will look to be the Hurricane’s new starting quarterback after former Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke entered the transfer portal and committed to the Wisconsin Badgers.
