Former Warrior Alec Burks hits trio of 3-pointers for Sixers in Orlando Bubble debut

In his Orlando Bubble debut, Alec Burks tallied three 3-pointers with two boards and an assist in the Sixers loss to the Pacers.

As the Golden State Warriors enter the offseason early, 22 teams are busy with seeding games before the start of the NBA’s Orlando Bubble postseason run. With no hoops on the schedule in the Bay Area, Warriors Wire is checking in with former members of the Dubs at Disney World.

While T.J. Warren stole the show with his career-high 53 points in the Indiana Pacers matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers, another former Warrior made his Orlando Bubble debut.

Alec Burks started his 2019-20 campaign with the Golden State Warriors. However, a pre-trade deadline deal moved Burks and Glenn Robinson III to the Sixers for draft pick compensation. Before the NBA season was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, Burks played 12 games for Philadelphia, averaging 10.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.

Against the Pacers, Burks came off the bench for 12 minutes, scoring nine points for the Sixers. All of Burks’ points came from 3-point range, splashing 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. The veteran swingman added two boards and an assist for the Sixers. Robinson III was ruled out against the Pacers with a hip pointer injury.

Joel Embiid recorded a massive double-double performance with 41 points and 21 rebounds. Yet, it wasn’t enough for Warren’s scolding career-high effort. In Indiana’s 127-121 victory, Warren tallied 53 points on 20-of-29 shooting from the field with 9-of-12 coming from long distance.
