Former Vols’ signee disqualified to play at Missouri

Former Vols’ signee disqualified to play at Missouri.

A former Tennessee football signee will not be permitted to play at Missouri.

Offensive lineman J’Marion Gooch has been disqualified to play at Missouri for medical reasons.

Gooch was released from his National Letter of Intent to play for the Vols after Jeremy Pruitt was dismissed as head coach.

He played at King’s Academy in Seymour, Tennessee before transferring in-state to Gallatin High School in November.

The 6-foot-7, 340-pound offensive lineman originally committed to Auburn before signing with the Vols.

Gooch received scholarship offers from Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Mississippi State, South Carolina and USC.
